The esports industry has been growing and evolving over the last few years. 

The pandemic has allowed the sector to play a greater role in people's leisure and entertainment, leading to a geometric growth in the audience than ever before. 

The arrival of Ibai Llanos, former caster of the Liga de Videojuegos Profesional (LVP) and the boom of the moment made the numbers multiply even more.

However, esports are not just a thing of a few years ago, but of some time more. From this aspect, clubs have been working and understanding this sector looking for ways to make it richer and Giantx are experts in this field.

Since 2008, the club has been adapting to the environment and contorting itself to understand the current times, and its founder, Virginia Calvo, is largely to blame for this.

The owner and CEO of Atlas Informática, a company with 20 years of experience in the development of computer products specialised in gaming and video games such as Drift, KROM, OZONE, NOX XTREME Products and VERSUS Gamers, has sculpted a club that cannot be understood without victories in its different disciplines. 

On the Good Game Group side, founded in 2020, it has encompassed the entertainment side of the club. From the creation of content as well as the management of its sporting designations, they have gone through the triple G.

League of Legends, VALORANT, FIFA, Rainbow Six, CS:GO, Mortal Kombat, Fortnite, Pokémon, Tekken, Dragon Ball FighterZ and Rocket League were the categories in which they competed, taking the shield to the top of the world.

But beyond the club, she has also developed her professional career in other ways: Founder of the Association of Esports Clubs of Spain (ACE), member and advisor of the Chair of Esports at the University of Malaga, she has appeared in FORBES magazine as one of the TOP 100 Creatives in Business and also as one of the TOP 100 Influential Women in Sport, Women Sports Institude.

Evidently, all this journey has had its rewards and awards. Over the years, she has received the Business Career Award from the Andalusian Federation of Women Entrepreneurs and has been named Businesswoman of the Year for two consecutive years by the Esports Business Live Awards.

Virginia Calvo is undoubtedly one of the most important personalities in the esports and entertainment industry in Spain, and it will be time to get out pen and paper and take notes.

On 25 January, the OXO Talks will have a new angle that will bring together lovers of competition and entertainment.
