Presentation of the Cultural Agenda OXO Videogame Museum Malaga

OXO Museo de Videojuego Málaga has presented today a preview of the cultural programme that will be developed during the next months. 

The presentation was attended by Francisco Salado, The event was hosted by the President of Diputación Provincial de Málaga and was given by Santiago Bustamante, cultural director of the Museum and Javier Arbós, The director of the centre in Malaga.

The Museum's cultural agenda is structured into three weekly activities dedicated to the video game industry and culture, which will be held in the Museum's facilities. These activities are:

OXO BEERS & DEVS, a relaxed meeting between video game creators who will show their progress and new titles on the museum's terrace. Tuesdays from 19:00h.

Night at the Museum, the most direct connection with the present and the past of the video game, from the Streaming Room of OXO. Live broadcast from Twitch from 20:00h every Wednesday. 

OXO TALKS. conversations with video game personalities interviewed by Santiago Bustamente. They will be held on Thursday evenings from 18:00h.

The programme starts on thursday 20 april with OXO TALKS with the presence of Josué Monchan, narrative director of the Spanish company Pendulum Studios. The programming of OXO TALKS continues as follows:

  • 20 April. «Video game sagas and narrative». Josué Monchan, Narrative Director of Péndulo Studios.
  • 27 April. «Pixelated memories». Jesús Martínez del Vas, cartoonist and writer specialising in the history of video games in Spain.
  • 4 May. «Literature and video games. The game of Zara». Ángel Luís Sucasas, Narrative Director at Mercury Steam.
  • 11 May. «An Island Among Islands: Animal Crossing». Sara Borondo, Curator of the Animal Crossing exhibition.
  • 18 May. «The myth made videogame: God Of War». Laura Luna, Author and content creator.
  • 25 May. «Call Of Duty: The World War Online». David Martínez, Curator of the Call Of Duty exhibition.
  • 1 June. FPT: First Person Talk: Enric Álvarez. Enric Álvarez, CEO of Mercury Steam.
  • 8 June. «Literary sagas and video games». Concepción Perea / Carlos Sisí, authors.
  • 15 June. «Film and video game sagas». Raúl Álvarez, Director of the Master's Degree in Screenwriting at the Rey Juan Carlos University.
  • 22 June. «Tetris: From Russia with love (and without copyright)». José María Villalobos, writer.
  • 29 June. FPT: First Person Talk: Raúl Rubio. Raúl Rubio, CEO of Tequila Works.
